Phd Physics Postdoctoral Position in Social Science


The Phd Physics role of this social science post doctoral researcher is to take part in a collaborative empirical investigation of the project in action and the issues at stake, such as changes in trust and the accountabilities in the electoral processes, the genealogy of democracy and technology and, the organizational changes related to digitization in municipalities. The Phd Physics aim is to analyze and assess social, political and cultural consequences of the technology and to make qualified inputs to the design process and assessment of the technology.

Postdoctoral candidates should have a Phd Physics in Social Science, an established research record, and experience with doing qualitative research in one or more of the following fields:

Science and technology studies (STS)
democracy and science
electronic voting systems (of primary importance)
democratic governance
IT-governance
genealogy of democracy and technology
political technologies
public understanding of science
trust in information

Postdoctoral Positions Phd Physics in Cloud Computing


The Phd Physics research group is focused on the design and analysis methods, algorithms and software for the clouds and service-oriented grid infrastructure. current and future research topics of interest are:

* Architectures for distributed and federated cloud and grid
* Planning and provision of resources of virtual machines, and jobs data
* Use and management of workflows
* Elasticity autonomous service robots
Access control * Safe resource overbooking
* Distributed monitoring, accounting and enforcement rate
* Basic tools for data management and computing demanding applications
* Management system based on holistic objectives of the enterprise level
* Effective use of virtualization technologies, including live migration
* Design principles for application in cloud-ready
* Applications of autonomous network management
* The theory and algorithms for resource allocation problems
* Applications of real-world results of these subjects

The
Phd Physics scholarships are intended for postdoctoral research, carried out by experienced researchers and doctoral students in the group and working with our partners. Coordination tasks in large projects may also be included. Postdoctoral fellowships for two years and with competitive advantages come.

Applicants must have a
Phd Physics in computer science or related fields who have for the position, preferably accomplished no more than three years. Research topics of the extent of the interest of fundamental distributed systems of cloud computing and grid infrastructure, virtualization, and academic and industrial applications, such as e-science applications. Industrial experience is also valuable.Phd Physics Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English is required

African Guest Researchers Phd Physics Scholarship Programme 2012


African scholars Phd Physics scholarship program is aimed at experienced researchers in Africa in research / committed on the African continent. The Phd Physics goal of the scholarship is to promote cooperation between researchers from the Nordic countries and in Africa and facilitate the use of the library collections of the Institute of Contemporary Africa.
Phd Physics Customer researchers are invited to stay at the Institute for two or three months, work on their own projects. The Phd Physics scholarship includes a return air ticket (economy class), accommodation, per diem, and shared an office with computer / MS Word features.
